Designed for adventurous trips and explorers, the Venture sleeping pad delivers legendary NeoAir comfort to any camp. Built with our WaveCore construction, the 2.2 R-value pad creates cells of air that retain warmth and shield from the cold. The two-inch (5cm) pad uses tough 50D polyester face is backcountry ready, giving you confidence during camping and backpacking adventures. The easy-to-pack Venture features the high-performance WingLock valve, allowing the pad to inflate three times faster thanks to a larger opening and one-way inflation. Like all Therm-a-Rest pads, the NeoAir Venture is made in market to ensure quality and minimize environmental impact. The pad includes a breath-saving pump sack, compact stuff sack and field repair kit.

The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Venture Regular Sleeping Mat delivers a luxurious sleep experience, offering a generously sized and supremely comfortable surface for campers who value rest. Its 5 cm thickness and rectangular shape provide plenty of space to stretch out, making it an excellent choice for side sleepers and those who appreciate extra room.
Crafted from rugged 50-denier polyester, the NeoAir Venture is designed to handle the demands of backcountry use. However, this durability and comfort come at a cost—at 555 grams, it’s heavier than some mats with a similar 2.2 R-value. While not the lightest option, it makes up for this with its reliability and ample sleeping area.
Utilising Therm-a-Rest’s WaveCore construction, the mat’s internal air cells help retain warmth and reduce heat loss, making it suitable for three-season use. The WingLock valve streamlines inflation and deflation, adding convenience to setup and pack-down.

ASTM R-Value:
From 2020, there is a new industry standard for measuring the R-value (level of insulation) of sleeping mats – ASTM F3340-18. This new standard is the sleeping mat equivalent to the EN rating for sleeping bags.
You can now directly compare the R-value of mats rated using the ASTM F3340-18 with confidence that is a fair and accurate comparison between mats. In simple terms, the higher the R-value, the warmer the mat.
In general terms, an R-value below 2.0 is for summer use, 2.0 to 4.0 is for cooler 3 season use and 4.0+ is for winter temperatures.
