Compact light with cap-clip versatility
NEBO says:
The MYCRO 550+ Headlamp & Cap-Light provides 7 light modes with 2 different light sources—an LED spotlight, and a C•O•B flood light. The PowerSave lockout prevents accidental activation, and the 130° integrated tilt allows you to position the beam exactly where you need it.
Our Verdict
At 52g, the NEBO Mycro 550 Rechargeable Headlamp is a small, flexible light for camp use and as an everyday backup. I like that the detachable cap clip lets you use it as either a headlamp or a brim-mounted light. That makes it more adaptable than a basic compact headtorch, especially if you already wear a cap.
I like the mix of spot, flood, and red modes, as it covers close-camp tasks, short-range walking, and lower-impact night use. The 130° tilt is also useful for aiming the beam without moving the strap. The 550-lumen Turbo mode is only for short bursts, and the higher settings have limited runtimes.
