The Nitecore MT1A Pro torch has a maximum output of 800 lumens from the NiteLab UHi 25 LED and is powered by 1 x 14500 li-ion or AA battery. The light comes with a Nitecore NL1411R 1100mAh 14500 battery with a built-in USB-C charging port for direct, quick charging.
An upgrade to the popular, easy to use MT1A, the Pro version offers a new NiteLab LED, dual power options, plus an excellent output and throw. Weighing just 52g without compromising on performance, the flashlight is ideal for everyday carry and general use.
The MT1A Pro is operated by a single tail switch with a dual-stage feature. Fully press the switch to turn the light on and off, and once on half-press the switch to adjust the brightness level.
The torch is constructed from high quality aero grade aluminium alloy with an HA III military grade finish. It features an Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) module, a highly efficient constant current circuit (Non-PWM), a memory function and optical lenses with double-sided, scratch resistant coating.
Our Verdict
At 52g, the MT1A Pro is easy to carry yet delivers up to 800 lumens, with USB-C charging making top-ups straightforward. The beam is tight and precise, ideal for picking out detail or reaching further ahead, though it does mean less spill for close surroundings. I like the reassurance of being able to switch to AA power if needed, even if brightness drops. The tail switch is responsive, and the slim form sits neatly in a pocket or clips securely to straps. At high output, the runtime is brief and the head heats up quickly, but in lower modes, it operates efficiently for hours. The build quality feels dependable, making it a versatile torch suitable for both everyday carry and trail use.
