A midweight technical tee for all mountain use.
Mountain Equipment says:
The Ignis Tee is a close-fitting technical tee for working hard in the mountains for the uphill fights, in-a-day pushes, gruelling miles, and heavy loads. Light and breathable, it efficiently wicks moisture away from the skin and dries quickly on the move, keeping you cool and comfortable when tackling difficult ground. With a slim cut, it layers well, while carefully positioned flatlock seams ensure prolonged next-to-skin comfort, whether shouldering a heavy pack, sitting in a harness or moving fast along mountain trails.
Built-in Polygiene anti-microbial technology resists odour during intensive or sustained use, making the Ignis an ideal choice for long trips and fast-paced day missions.
Our Verdict
At 112g (Medium), the Ignis Tee is a light synthetic top for hillwalking, scrambling, running and active mountain use. The 120g/m² grid fabric moves moisture well, dries quickly and gives a little more structure than a very thin running tee.
I like the slim fit here, as it keeps bulk down under a fleece, shell or pack and helps the fabric sit close enough to wick properly. The flatlocked seams are also a practical detail, reducing rubbing when worn next to the skin under shoulder straps or a harness.
The Polygiene StayFresh treatment helps control odour, which is useful on warm days. It works best for high-output hill days and lightweight layering.
