Our Verdict
At 167g (Medium), the Dynamo Shorts sit in a useful middle ground: lighter and easier-going than tougher mountain shorts, but more protective than a simple running short. The EXOLITE 100 softshell fabric is my main strength, offering stretch, quick-drying comfort, and light resistance to showers without feeling clammy in warm conditions.
The wide stretch waistband is a practical detail, especially under a pack hipbelt where buttons or belts can start to press. The fit is unrestrictive, and the 21cm inseam gives decent coverage without feeling long or baggy.
The hand pockets are easy to use, while the zipped thigh and rear pockets give secure options for smaller essentials.
