Hestra says:
Soft and warm mitten for downhill skiing and outdoor activities in winter, a lightweight version of the Moon Mitt with a little more grip and freedom of movement. The backhand is made of polyamide fabric with a quilted design, while the palm is made of supple lambskin that provides good grip around the poles. The polyester fleece liner is comfortable against the skin, and the Primaloft Gold synthetic insulation insulates with a luxurious, downy feel.
Our Verdict
The Hestra Moon Light Mitts are an excellent option for warm and lightweight mittens for skiing, outdoor winter activities, or everyday cold weather use. They strike a nice balance between insulation and agility, with the Primaloft Gold synthetic insulation providing cosy warmth without being overly bulky.
The mitten design keeps your fingers together for maximal warmth, while the impregnated lambskin palm allows a solid grip on ski poles or other items. The ripstop polyamide fabric on the back of the hand protects against wind and wet weather. Inside, the brushed polyester lining is soft and comfortable next to the skin.
The elasticated wrist prevents cold air from creeping in. Sizing runs accurately, with options spanning 8-10 inches in circumference to fit most adult hand sizes.

- Palm: Hairsheep leather - A thin, soft leather from hair sheep with a nice luster. The finest hairsheep leather comes from the high land of Ethiopia and is tanned and dyed in Naples.
- Insulation: Primaloft Gold - A soft, down-like insulation with breathable and warming properties. 100% polyester.
- Attached lining: Brushed polyester - Durable lining with a soft feeling. The brushed surface binds more air which provides a better insulation. 100% polyester.
