Built to offer lightweight performance, the Tenacity Pant has been engineered to excel on the trail. Hardwearing VECTOR LITE offers lightweight breathability that moves with the wearer with it's 2 way stretch construction. Freedom of movement is enhanced alongside the fabric with carefully designed fit which includes refine gusset and articulated construction. Essential storage options include open hand pockets and secure zipped thigh and back pockets.
Our Verdict
At 371g (Medium), the Montane Tenacity Pants feel more protective than lightweight trail trousers while still moving well enough for steep ground and scrambling. The VECTOR Lite fabric has a tougher, more substantial feel, with enough stretch to make high steps and uneven terrain feel natural rather than restrictive. I like the zipped pocket layout, with secure hand pockets, a lateral thigh pocket, and a rear pocket that provides useful storage without turning them into bulky cargo trousers.
The low-profile waistband sits neatly under a pack or harness. Still, I do find the belt can slip, and I would prefer external belt loops, so I have the option to swap it for one I already use. Best for walkers, backpackers, and scramblers wanting durable, stretchy trousers for cooler three-season hill days.
