Compared to the classic Maya LS, the Travel version has a looser fit, is longer and has a hood to protect against the sun. The same pleasant elastic material with UPF50+ protection. Our Verdict
The Turbat Maya Hood Travel Shirt is a technical option built for warm, exposed environments. At 180g (Medium), it feels light and easy to wear, with a loose cut that promotes airflow.
The fabric dries quickly and manages moisture well, helping maintain comfort during steady movement on the trail. The loose fit allows heat to escape, while the addition of a hood provides extra coverage for the head and neck in strong sun. It feels more structured than a baselayer but lighter than a traditional shirt.
The fit is relaxed with good freedom through the shoulders, sitting comfortably under a pack without restriction.
Durability is solid for the weight, with the fabric holding up well over repeated use.
