The LEKI Makalu Pro FX Carbon (SS26) is a high-performance folding trekking pole pair built for trekking, hiking, hillwalking and multi-day backpacking where packability, low weight and dependable adjustment are essential. For SS26, this model is updated as the replacement for the previous Black Series FX Carbon and is specified with an ELD (External Locking Device) folding construction and an aluminium Speed Lock lever (Speed Lock 2 plus AL), with improved serviceability for section replacement compared to the earlier version.
Built with a full Carbon (PRC 1000) shaft for an excellent strength-to-weight balance, it delivers a responsive feel on climbs and stable support on technical descents. The 5-section FX design folds to a compact 41 cm for rucksack carry and travel, then adjusts quickly from 110 to 130 cm using the external Speed Lock 2 plus AL lever. Comfort and control come from the Aergon Air grip, designed to provide maximum ergonomic support with enhanced guidance and downhill comfort. Finished with Trekking 2.0 baskets and a Flex Tip Short (Carbide) tip, Makalu Pro FX Carbon is built for confident pole plants across mixed trail and mountain terrain.
