Our Verdict
A low-profile anodised aluminium kettle, I've been using this to make a brew on the go if I'm doing a day hike, but I've been considering taking one as my primary cook system on longer multi-day hikes. If I'm cooking at camp, I generally eat dehydrated meals, so I only need some boiling water. The much wider base of a kettle, compared to more traditional cooking pots, and the kettle’s well-fitting lid means increased boil time and a reduced risk of spilling boiling water, as you can use the spout.
The 1.5L capacity means this kettle is perfect for two if used as a cooking system. The LiTech Coffee & Tea Kettle will fit a 110g gas canister and a small stove inside; I would put a cloth inside to protect the interior of the kettle and stop any rattling.
