Our Verdict
At 290g, the Primus Lite Ultra XL 1.0L is a very light integrated stove system for fast backpacking, bikepacking and lightweight camping. The 1L pot gives useful capacity for solo meals or simple two-person cooking, while the heat exchanger helps keep boiling efficient.
I like the low-profile burner, as it helps stability compared with taller upright systems. The titanium handles and aluminium lid keep weight down, though the stripped-back design means it is best suited to boiling water, reheating food and simple one-pot meals rather than more involved cooking.
The integrated ignition is convenient, but I would still carry a lighter as backup.
