Our Verdict
The Primus Lite Ultra 0.8L feels like a deliberate step towards a more weight-conscious approach. At 223g for the stove and pot, it is the lightest integrated stove system Primus has produced, yet it retains the efficiency and simplicity that have made the Lite series so popular.
The twist-lock connection between the pot and burner is a particular highlight. It is simple, secure and easy to use, helping the system feel stable without adding unnecessary complexity. I also like the move towards a more minimalist design. Previous Lite systems included an insulated pot cover, whereas this version strips things back to achieve a lower weight and a more streamlined package.
Its strengths are clear: fast boil times, efficient fuel use and excellent packability. The narrow pot shape naturally favours water boiling over elaborate cooking, but for solo backpacking and fastpacking, it is a thoughtfully refined stove system.
