Our Verdict
Petzl's Leopard Flexlock Crampons are made from ultra light aluminium, making them the lightest hiking crampons we currently stock.
To cut the weight, Petzl took out the metal bars that typically connect the toe piece and heel piece and replaced it with a Dyneema cord. This minimizes bulk too, which means they can be stored inside their tiny carry case inside your pack. It also means you don't need tools to adjust them. The FLs work with hiking and approach shoes - no toe welt required.
