Our Verdict
At 764g, the Osprey Hikelite 26 is a simple daypack for hill walks and everyday outdoor use where comfort and airflow matter. The AirSpeed back system is the main strength, holding the pack away from your back to improve ventilation.
The wide panel opening makes the main compartment easy to access, while the top zipped pocket, side bottle pockets, and hydration sleeve keep the layout practical. I also like the front shove-it pocket, as it gives you somewhere quick to stash a layer without opening the pack. The included raincover is a nice touch for UK day walks.
The fixed 38–50cm torso fit will not suit everyone as well as an adjustable pack, but it will cover a broad range of body sizes and works best for walkers wanting breathable comfort in a straightforward daypack.
