This updated version of the High Side uses more durable and weatherproof fabrics while keeping a design that was hugely successful in the first place. This is a fantastic tent for combining weight, size, ease of use and stand out appeal.

The High Side 3000 is the European version of the established High Side tent. The High Side’s pre-bent poles and distinct build provide a maximum amount of space and a minimum amount of weight. 12” pole sections help with efficient packing, and once set up, just extend the awning and you’ll be living large.
Our Verdict
Sierra Design's High Side 3000 1P Tent is the same fantastic solo tent as the original but with updated fabric with a higher HH for additional waterproofing. It retains the interesting design that keeps the weight down, has a fantastic packsize and results in a versatile shelter. The pole design creates a good amount of internal space and sets up the most interesting aspect of this tent, the high side. The outer door can be set up in a number of different ways to allow you to make the most of things. It can be rolled up to allow you to take in the view, it can extended out with poles to act like an awning providing a large sheltered space or it can be kept low and tight to keep the weather out.
The low profile shape is really good for windy conditions and the short pole sections are ideal for creating a small packsize for bikepackers and space conscious trekkers. There is a good amount of space for one person inside and vestibule size make access easy and provides a good amount of additional space. The design is the real standout feature but the combination of low weight, small packsize and exceptional value make this a fantastic tent overall.
