The Sleeping Bag Expansion Baffle is a great piece of kit if you are extending the useable range of your sleeping bag by wearing more clothes. It's not uncommon to wear a down jacket inside your sleeping bag when it's cold - expanding the internal volume in this way gives you more scope.

Mountain Equipment's Helium Sleeping Bag Expansion Baffle is a great innovation. Helium bags are one of Mountain Equipment's premium backpacking ranges and as such are cut for warmth rather than internal volume. With this expansion baffle, you can create a bit more space easily. If you are using your Helium bag in colder conditions and want to wear more clothing the baffle may be a great option.
