Our Verdict
The GSI Outdoors Halulite Boiler 1.8L gets the basics right. Its 1.8-litre capacity is ideal for sharing hot drinks and dehydrated meals, while the tall shape packs efficiently, and you can house your entire cook kit inside, meaning neat packing too. The hard-anodised aluminium heats water quickly, and the integrated spout makes pouring into meal pouches or mugs noticeably easier and more controlled.
At 272g, it is not chasing the lowest weight, but the trade-off is a pot that feels reassuringly durable. The locking folding handle is a standout detail, providing a secure grip when pouring and packing away. Long-term durability is another strength, with the anodised finish and overall construction earning a reputation for withstanding regular use.
It's not a very wide pan, so more dedicated cooking could be an issue, but for hot water or warming a pre-cooked meal up, it excels.
