Equipped with two-stage Thermo Gill™ zippered vents, Forte offers an extended usable temperature range that can be fine-tuned for comfort from within. Additional temperature regulation can be achieved by strategically arranging the cozy Blanket Fold™ draft collar; tuck it in for greater warmth and leave unfolded to release any excess heat.
Made with a suite of recycled fabrics and filled with 100% recycled Zerofiber™ 800 synthetic fill, Forte continues to exemplify NEMO`s commitment to reducing resource consumption and keeping our gear out of the landfill.
Manufactured from a single type of material, this sleeping bag is fully recyclable at the end of its life — just send it back to NEMO, and we`ll handle the rest.
Our Verdict
The Forte 20 stands out for its Spoon shape, which creates more room at the knees and elbows and feels noticeably less restrictive than a standard mummy design. This added space makes it easier to settle in and move during the night, particularly for side sleepers. The synthetic insulation provides reliable warmth in damp conditions, though the -7°C rating feels closer to the lower end, with comfort sitting near freezing in camp. Late spring, late autumn, pushing into a milder winter night is where this bag shines.
At 1509g, it is not aimed at lightweight setups, but the packed size remains manageable for a synthetic bag, with insulation that handles damp conditions more reliably and is easier to wash and care for over its down counterpart. The inner fabric has a soft feel, and the Thermo Gill vents and draft collar offer effective temperature control without relying solely on the main zip.
Overall, it delivers a comfortable and dependable option where space and moisture performance matter more than weight.
