Our Verdict
At just 20 g, the Filament Headband provides an excellent balance of insulation and breathability. The Thermic S fleece feels soft against the skin, with a striped backer that helps wick moisture and regulate temperature during high-output activity. It fits closely without feeling restrictive, and the stretch fabric keeps it securely in place whether worn alone or under a helmet.
Seam placement is well judged, avoiding irritation and making it a strong choice for climbing, running, or ski touring. Breathability is one of its strongest points, keeping the head dry even during long efforts. A minimalist but effective layer that earns its space in any cold-weather kit system.
