Explore 5 is a powerful upgrade of the previous Explore headlamp model. It’s durable with a dust-tight and fully waterproof design that meets the IP68 standard. The wide headband provides a comfortable fit with smooth buckles for easy adjustment of the headband. A helmet mount is included.
700 lumens, 3 colours and 4 light modes
Explore 5 is a 700-lumen headlamp with white light mode, red light mode that preserves your night vision, and an orange light that enables better map reading. The lamp has a lock fun and can be used on a super-low mode of 15 lumens with an impressive burn time of 50 hours.
Integrated rechargeable battery
Explore 5 has a built-in, rechargeable 2.0Ah Li-Ion battery. A USB-C charge cable is included. It also features a 4-level battery indicator.

With a maximum output of 700 lumens, it offers versatile illumination across four settings, including a low 15-lumen mode for use around camp, extending battery life to an impressive 50 hours. Its design incorporates white, red, and orange lights, making it practical for various situations: red to preserve night vision, orange for map reading, and white for general use. The headtorch has a wide, adjustable headband with a silicone inlay that keeps the headtorch in place. The Explore 5 can be removed from the headband and mounted on the included helmet mount, so this headtorch can also be used whilst caving, climbing, or on a bike.
Silva’s Intelligent Light technology is a standout feature. It combines a long-reaching spotlight with a close floodlight to provide a balanced field of vision.
