Our Verdict
The Eagle Creek Expanse 4-Wheel International Carry-On 35L combines the adaptability of soft-sided construction with the stability and ease of a four-wheel setup. At 2883g, it’s light enough to meet stricter airline weight limits but still feels tough enough to handle years of travel. The recycled ripstop fabric is weather-resistant and reinforced in all the right places, and the smooth-rolling wheels dealt with everything from train platforms to cobbled streets without complaint.
Inside, there’s enough space for a week’s worth of travel if you pack carefully, with compression straps and a full mesh panel to keep things tidy. The expansion zip adds a bit of breathing room, and the external pockets are great for quick-access essentials. I liked the sturdy grab handles on all sides and the clean, understated design—though I’d happily take a brighter colour option for easier spotting in overhead bins.
A solid choice for those looking for a carry-on built to travel hard, stay organised, and easily glide through terminals.
