Our Verdict
The Dja Shorts from Turbat deliver exactly what’s needed from warm-weather kit: minimal weight, fast drying, and reliable coverage. At 147g (Medium), they utilise a thin yet surprisingly robust blend of nylon, polyester, and elastane that feels soft and stretches easily. The cut is simple yet well-shaped, featuring an elastic waistband that stays in place during extended efforts.
Breathability is strong, the weave allows decent airflow, while the UPF 50+ rating adds confidence on sun-exposed terrain. Two zipped hand pockets provide secure storage without bulk, and the material dries quickly after high-output activity or washing at camp. There’s no lining or excess trim, which keeps things comfortable under a pack or harness.
