Our Verdict
The Julbo Camino M Reactiv 2-4 sunglasses are purpose-built for big days in the mountains. Weighing just 24g, they’re barely noticeable to wear, but the performance of the lenses is anything but minimal. The photochromic Reactiv lens transitions from category 2 to 4, with a VLT range of 7–35%, which is ideal for open ridgelines, glaciers, and long hikes under bright skies. I found the clarity and contrast to be great for navigating uneven terrain, and the lenses darkened quickly enough.
The curved temples hold firm without pressure, and the removable side shields are effective without feeling bulky, especially useful when the sun’s bouncing off snow or scree.
