The Montane Caelum Cap offers a secure, close fit with a simple rear adjustment that stays in place. At 41g, it feels light but more structured than most running caps, thanks to the softshell fabric.
That fabric helps cut wind and adds a bit more protection, though it is not as breathable as mesh designs. Moisture is handled well, with the internal band keeping things comfortable.
The foam peak folds easily and returns to shape, making it practical to pack.
Overall, it is a dependable option that prioritises protection and durability over maximum airflow.
