The Brew Company says:
This coffee is The Brew Company staple - with varieties developed specifically for Brazilian terrain. We have been working with the Ascarive cooperative for many years. Our Verdict
Simple, portable, and better than instant, The Brew Company’s Coffeebrewer pouches make high-quality coffee easy to enjoy outdoors or while travelling. The flavour matches a good home pour-over, yet the format requires only hot water.
Each pouch weighs around 35 g and produces about two cups, using pre-ground coffee sealed within a lined kraft-paper brewer. The results are clean, full-bodied and consistent, whether the blend is Honduran, Brazilian or Colombian. The key appeal is simplicity: no cafetiere, no filter cone, no mess. The pouch can even be rinsed and refilled if you carry your own grounds.
The packaging is sturdy enough for repeated use, although drying it properly between brews is essential for longevity. It strikes an ideal balance between convenience and quality, offering a good way to elevate a camp brew without carrying extra gear. The ethical sourcing and low-waste design are a welcome bonus.
