What is the TGO Challenge?
The Great Outdoors Challenge, or TGO for short, is a communal coast-to-coast crossing of Scotland. We are incredibly proud to sponsor this event along with the other sponsor, Darn Tough.
The TGO Challenge is a unique coast-to-coast trek across Scotland. The TGO has no set path no fixed start or ending point. The 400 (give or take) “challengers” all start from one of 14 designated locations on the West Coast and set off towards the East Coast on a route they have devised themselves.
What is TGO Challenge East?
A sister event to the main TGO Challenge, TGOC East offers a way for less experienced backpackers and those who lack confidence in their skills to ‘find their feet’ in the TGO Challenge area while experiencing some of the demands and joys of the main Event.
Terms and Conditions
The winner will win their choice of 7 pairs of Darn Tough socks. Choose from any here, subject to stock availability.
The competition starts on 27th April 2026 and ends on 3rd May 2026. All entrants between these dates will be entered into the draw.
The winner will be drawn on 4th May 2026, and the winner will be notified via email. If you don't get an email from us, unfortunately, you have not been successful on this occasion.
Every correct entry submitted between the competition dates will have their email address entered into the draw. The draw uses a random number generator and will be completely fair, with each email address having the same chance to win as any other. Only one entry per person will be accepted. No dialogue will be entered about the administration of the competition/draw.
