The more openly woven structure of Quantum Air fabrics allows airflow through the fabric, which helps to regulate your body heat and keep you comfortable for longer. This balance of air permeability and wind resistance means Pertex® Quantum Air fabrics are perfectly suited to intense mountain pursuits.
A durable water repellent (DWR) finish sheds light rain and snow to provide additional weather protection.

Our View on Pertex Quantum Air:
Insulation garments can cause you to overheat and sweat if you are working hard, such as fastpacking up a hill. In recent years manufacturers have sought ways to have more 'breathable' insulation and shell fabrics with better air permeability such as Quantum Air. This produces a garment that is still warm but lets air out if you begin to sweat, keeping you comfortable. Ideal for high energy activities.
