Montane Dynamic Nano Pants Review - ''An excellent pair of no-frills hiking pants that should last a long time''

The first thing to notice on the Montane Dynamic Nano Pants is their slim fit design, making them super versatile, as they can be used for walking or running. They fit well, hugging the legs without being too tight and the Raptor 4-way stretch fabric seems really durable and offers some protection in light rain too.

The design is simple, but extremely effective. The slim, tapered fit means there is no need for adjustment at the ankle and the two zipped, vertical hand pockets are appreciated, as this is not always common on trekking pants. However, there are no rear pockets, which isn’t an issue for me personally.

In terms of fit, they are a slim fit, so if you often find yourself between sizes, I would recommend taking the larger size, which is what I did. This means they are generous on the waist but the internal drawcord means they can be adjusted to personal preference.

As the Dynamic Nano Pants aren’t packed with features, there’s only so much that can be said about them but I think that’s the whole point – they are an excellent pair of no-frills hiking pants that should last a long time.
