Who Are 7Mesh?
The founders of 7mesh left Arc’teryx to build something different. They sought to bring new technologies to cycling and fill a gap in the industry. 7mesh products have always been designed to work hard off the bike and push further in more ways than one.
For a decade, 7mesh has used cycling as a testing ground and is now returning full circle.
True to their generalist nature, the team remains flexible and open to new possibilities, continually revisiting the question of "what if?" Supporting such questions requires gear built for the innovative spirit of the founders, the mountains of their home base in Squamish, BC, and the freewheeling yet relentless perseverance of those who dare to do more.
In a world where everything is advancing faster, higher, and further, pushing the realm of possibility into new territory, 7mesh offers apparel that is ready for anything, eliminating any hint of doubt. Their products are characterised by unmatched comfort, durability, and movement, all designed, tested, and brought to life in Canada.
The Guardian Collection
The Guardian Collection represents the peak of everything 7Mesh has learned in a lifetime of outdoor innovation. It’s a new line for the alpine beyond which anything is possible.
Guardian Air Gore-Tex Jacket
''A hyper-minimal, lightweight, packable jacket built to meet and exceed the conditions of your most extreme expeditions.''
Guardian Air leads with the lightest, most packable fabric you can imagine at just 204g for a men’s medium. Featuring an ultralight 15-denier face fabric that is PFAS free and fully waterproof (28,000mm+ water column rating) and guaranteed to perform with a GORE-TEX ePE membrane.
7mesh is a Canadian brand with strong roots in mountain biking, but this new Guardian range has been designed to work across cycling and mountain use. The relaxed, articulated fit gives plenty of freedom of movement and room for layering, so it feels equally appropriate on a hike or on the bike.
The CrossPull Hood takes a little time to understand, particularly the adjustment around the face, but once set it works extremely well and can be rolled away into a high collar when not needed. I also really like the cuffs. The low-profile adjustment feels like a genuine step forward, and I can see other brands adopting something similar.
Storage is minimal, with internal pockets rather than hand pockets, but the StashSystem is clever. The packed jacket can even be secured directly to a handlebar, which makes particular sense for bikepacking.
Glove-Friendly Cuff
The versatile cuff allows for comfortable use with a wide range of gloves, from cycling to skiing.
CrossPull Hood & Stowaway Snap
The hood can be rolled away into a high collar when not needed.
StashSystem
The packed jacket can even be secured directly to a handlebar.
