Our Verdict
The Fire Maple Blade 2 Titanium Stove is a sturdy, ultralight remote gas stove, ideal for hikers and backpackers who prioritise stability and efficiency in their cooking setup. Weighing just 142 grams, this titanium stove folds to a compact size that easily fits inside a 1-litre pot, making it highly portable without compromising performance.
I prefer the remote canister design, which has a lower centre of gravity. It is also easier and safer to turn off the gas if a pan starts to boil over. The wide pot stand can support larger cookware, making this stove a great choice if you enjoy cooking more elaborate meals outdoors rather than basic dehydrated meals.
Operating at a robust 2.8kW, the Blade 2 brings half a litre of water to a boil in around 3 minutes and 25 seconds. This setup allows for inverted canister use, delivering consistent performance in lower temperatures and preventing sputtering—essential for reliable cooking on winter hikes.
