Our Verdict
The Big Agnes Mica Basin Camp Chair is a great choice when comfort matters more than shaving every gram. Weighing 1.05 kg and packing down to 9 × 11 × 44 cm, it’s not something I’d take if I were counting every gram, but for a one-nighter, when I’m prepared to carry a little more for a lot more comfort, it’s a fantastic option. The wide seat and 41 cm seat height make it easy to relax, and the supportive back feels sturdy without being restrictive. I appreciate how quickly it sets up with colour-coded poles and a shock-corded frame. The fabric feels tough enough to handle plenty of use, with a water-repellent finish that shrugs off light rain.
