Our Verdict
At 50g (Medium), the Distance Gaiters are a close-fitting softshell design that effectively keeps grit, heather, and trail debris out without adding bulk or restricting movement.
I particularly like the Heel Hook system, which creates a secure fit around lightweight trail shoes. Breathability is also noticeably better than heavier waterproof gaiters, making them more comfortable for fast-paced hiking and running.
They are not designed for deep winter bogs or prolonged wet weather, but for trail use and lightweight backpacking, they work well.
