Our Verdict
The Arctix 400 uses 750-fill-power goose down with a higher fill to deliver a balanced mix of warmth and packability, weighing 873g. This level of down provides a solid warmth-to-weight ratio, packing down well while offering dependable insulation from early spring through to late autumn. The comfort limit of around -4°C feels realistic when paired with an appropriate mat, giving it enough range for colder nights without stepping into full winter use.
The mummy cut is shaped for efficiency but sits slightly more relaxed than some performance-focused designs, allowing for easier movement in the bag while still retaining heat effectively. A full-length zip allows for good ventilation control, and the arrow-shaped footbox and adjustable hood help maintain warmth. Features such as the insulated shoulder baffle and integrated pillow sleeve enhance overall usability.
The 10D ripstop fabric keeps weight down while offering a reasonable level of durability.
