A lightweight and comfortable short for hiking, trekking and running.
Mountain Equipment says:
An unlined short with 2 hand pockets and a zipped rear pocket, these shorts offer maximum versatility for hot days in the mountains. A lightweight composite waistband dries quickly and stays put on long days out.
Our Verdict
At 107g (Medium), the Agilix Short 7in is clearly built around low weight, quick-drying comfort, and easy movement. The unlined design is a real strength for me, as it lets you choose your own liner or underwear and makes the shorts work across hiking, trekking, travel and occasional running.
The low-bulk stretch waistband keeps things simple and sits more comfortably under a pack than a traditional buttoned waist. I also like the bonded hem, which reduces unnecessary stitching.
Storage is basic, with two hand pockets and a zipped rear pocket. For hot hill days, fast walking and lightweight travel, though, they are easy shorts to live with.
