Tiny pack size, proper head support
Sea to Summit says:
Ultralight, comfortable and packs down to the size of an egg.
Ultralight yet soft, the brushed recycled face fabric is comfortable against the skin and packs down to the size of an egg. The contoured pillow shape supports a variety of sleep positions and is designed to fit inside the hood of a sleeping bag.
Having your pillow slide off the mat in the middle of the night is one of camping's biggest frustrations. The included PillowLock solves the problem without adding extra weight.
High quality materials including an upgrade to hydrolysis-resistant TPU polyether laminate for trouble-free usage.
Our Verdict
The Sea to Summit Aeros Ultralight Pillow is for backpackers who want a “real” pillow feel without giving up much space or weight. At 53g for the Regular and 79g for the Large, it packs down very small but still gives enough height to support the head properly, especially if you fine-tune the air rather than fully inflating it.
I like the contoured shape, as it feels more supportive around the neck than a flat air pillow, and the brushed recycled face fabric is a clear comfort improvement over slicker inflatable designs.
