Our Verdict
At 332g (UK 8), it’s marginally lighter than the GTX version and feels more breathable straight out of the box — ideal for dry conditions or anyone who prefers quicker drying over full waterproofing. The rocker-shaped sole is a real highlight here, helping to maintain a steady rhythm on uneven terrain and taking some of the load off the calves during steeper sections. There's enough cushioning underfoot for longer days, but the platform still feels responsive, not overly soft.
The 5mm lugs on the outsole have gripped well on compact trail, damp woodland, and loose grit — no slipping, even when moving at pace. Without the Gore-Tex lining, the shoe feels more adaptable for summer use or drier regions, with better ventilation across the forefoot.
