Our Verdict
Outdoor Research's ActiveIce Chroma Full Sun Gloves provide excellent levels of protection and comfort from the sun. The gloves have a close fit but the Thermo-Regulating ActiveIce fabric is amazingly lightweight and breathable. Despite this they still provide protection from the sun with a UPF 50+ rating. The fabric does an impressive job of keeping you cool when you are exposed to the sun for prolonged periods. They are also excellent at wicking moisture and are fast drying so they perform well no matter what activities you're involved in.
These gloves offer excellent protection for the back of the hands while also providing a good level of grip with the synthetic suede coverage under the hand. The full finger design has a comfortable feel and the palms are surprisingly durable. The simple Velcro tab closure allows you to adjust the gloves as and when you need to.
