A low profile and low-weight hat that adds an instant level of warmth. The Abisko Lite Wool Beanie packs down very small, so can happily live in a rucksack or running vest pocket until needed.
Fjallraven says:
Light and comfortable beanie in a soft merino wool/polyester blend. A versatile little garment for year-round use: it sits snugly under a hood or climbing helmet and is great for chilly summer days in the mountains or at night when sleeping outdoors or in a tent. The wool leads away moisture and insulates even when damp, plus it naturally resists odours. Embroidered logo and low-profile flatlock seams.
Our Verdict
This is a fantastic bit of gear to have in your pack year-round, great for variable weather conditions. Incredibly lightweight and low profile, the Abisko Lite Wool Beanie is something you will get year-round use out of. The 50% blend of wool and polyesters is soft against the skin, breathes well and helps to move sweat away from the skin when working hard. It's soft and light enough to be incorporated into a sleep system if you are camping out in the colder month of the year and low profile enough to be incorporated into a layering system if you are heading out to do some winter climbing.
