Functional hip pack with a close-body fit suitable for high-movement activities. Produced without PFAS.
Fjallraven says:
Functional hip pack with a close-body fit designed for high-movement outdoor activities. The main fabric is made from recycled polyamide and the back panel is seamless with ventilated soft foam for comfort and to reduce the risk of chafing. Hip belt with forward-pull adjustments to ensure a body-hugging fit. The pack has one large compartment with inside pockets, one smaller compartment, two stretch bottle holders and two easily accessed side pockets. Large carry handle on top and an elastic cord on the front can be used for attaching extra gear.
Our Verdict
The Abisko Hip Pack 6 feels designed around stability rather than minimalism. The broad shape, forward-pull adjustment and padded back panel keep it more secure than smaller casual waist packs. At 363g, it remains fairly lightweight, given its 6L capacity, durable materials and organisational layout.
The storage is particularly well thought out. The main compartment is spacious enough for light layers, snacks and a phone, while the side pockets and organiser sections make smaller items easy to reach. I also like the external cord system for quickly stashing a windproof or light waterproof jacket.
