Filled with 2.82oz of 950+ loft white Muscovy down with DWR Loft treatment, it provides exceptional warmth-to-weight performance in a highly packable jacket made for cold starts, exposed stops, alpine camps and lightweight travel.
The Japanese-made 7D Anti-Gravity Nylon mini ripstop shell, elasticated cuffs and single-hand adjustable hem help retain warmth when the temperature drops, while YKK zips and zippered hand-warmer pockets add reliable function in the cold.
Our Verdict
At 224g (Medium), the Mont Adventure Equipment 2026 Zero Ultralight Down Jacket stands out for its warmth-to-weight ratio. It uses 80g of 950+ fill-power down, which is a substantial amount of insulation for such a light jacket.
I’m particularly impressed by how little has been stripped away to reach that weight. You still get two zipped hand pockets, elasticated cuffs and an adjustable hem, while the 7-denier shell keeps bulk extremely low.
I would normally take a Large (I'm 6'1 "), but the Medium fit well over a thin base layer without feeling restrictive. The fabric does require some care, but that is an understandable compromise at this weight. Personally, I would love to see Mont produce a hooded version.
