Our Verdict
The Jetboil Zip 0.8L Fast Boil System has received a few welcome updates for 2024. The flame control dial now turns much more smoothly, allowing for better precision when adjusting heat, and the redesigned pot-to-burner connection features a three-point lock with clear visual indicators for a secure fit. I also like the new textured grip zone, which makes it easier to lift the pot safely when it’s hot.
Everything nests neatly into the pot: the burner, stabiliser, and a 100g gas canister pack inside the stove, keeping things compact and organised in your rucksack. At 355g, it’s a straightforward, space-saving option for solo trips or light two-person use. Boil times remain fast—about two minutes for half a litre—and the insulated sleeve helps keep water warm once boiled.
With its simple setup, dependable performance, and those minor improvements in handling and security, it’s been a reliable stove for me when I need hot water quickly without fuss.
