Our Verdict
At 25g (Medium), the Montane Dart XT Liner Gloves are extremely light yet provide enough warmth for active use in cold conditions or as a base layer under insulation or waterproof gloves. The Apex Thermo fabric stretches easily, allowing for a close fit that does not restrict movement, while the brushed inner surface adds a touch of comfort. Moisture management is excellent, with the gloves drying quickly, and the Polygiene treatment helps them stay fresher for longer.
Touchscreen compatibility is effective, making them practical for navigation on the go. Seams are generally unobtrusive, though the multiple joins at the fingertips could feel bulky if worn for extended periods. The turned cuff sits flat and helps to keep heat in when layered under outer gloves. They integrate well within a glove layering system, adding warmth and dexterity without bulk. For winter layering systems or high-output activity in cool weather, they are a practical, efficient option.
