Our Verdict

The Outdoor Research Adrenaline Mitts combine a Ventia waterproof insert with EnduraLoft Eco insulation to provide dependable protection against snow, wind and cold. At 124 g (Medium), they balance warmth with manageability, remaining easy to pull on and secure using the gauntlet cinch and wrist adjustment. The generous cuff seals effectively over jacket sleeves, keeping snow out and warmth in.

The insulation feels thick across the back of the hand and slightly lighter in the palm, which improves grip and pole handling while still maintaining solid warmth. The internal space is ample enough to move fingers comfortably or to add a thin liner. Breathability is reasonable for a fully waterproof mitt, and the soft tricot lining stays comfortable through extended wear.

The AX Diamond Grip palm provides dependable traction, and the stitching and reinforcement are well-executed. For walking, skiing or winter camping, they offer reliable performance without excess complexity, providing an effective blend of warmth, protection and usability.
