The OMM Trail Shoe is designed for runners who want to move efficiently and confidently across mixed trail terrain. It delivers the light, responsive feel needed for faster efforts, with the grip and protection required when the ground becomes more technical. The Trail Shoe is built around a 27mm stack height and 6mm drop, providing a balanced platform that feels stable at pace without becoming overbuilt or overly soft. Our Verdict
The OMM Trail Shoe weighs 275g per shoe and clearly reflects the brand’s Mountain Marathon roots, with a focus on moving efficiently across varied ground. The fit is on the narrower side through the heel and midfoot, giving a secure, locked-in feel once adjusted, with enough room in the forefoot to stay comfortable.
Underfoot, the cushioning is moderate, with a firmer feel that keeps things stable on uneven terrain. The rock plate adds protection without losing ground awareness. Grip is reliable on shale and gravel, with a consistent feel as conditions change. The upper is incredibly breathable and dries quickly, which suits the typical UK weather and repeated exposure to wet ground. It works well for fast-paced days where efficiency and control matter.
