The TOAKS Titanium Tripod is lightweight and sturdy for bushcraft or campfire cooking. It's easy to set up, with a stable structure and an adjustable chain system for pots up to 1.8 kg.

The Toaks Tripod Titan consists of three connected and three loose titanium segments that are assembled to form a stable tripod. There is a hole in the upper connecting piece of the three legs into which you can thread the corresponding chain.
The chain on the Toaks Portable Titanium Tripod has a round hook at the bottom end into which you can hang your pots. An elongated hook at the top end holds the chain in place. Note the maximum load capacity of 1.8 kg. You should therefore not hang large pots on the tripod.
If you fully unfold the Toaks Portable Titanium Tripod, the titanium feet are about 60 cm apart. The assembly height in this state is around 70 cm. Ideally, you should always fully unfold the tripod to prevent it from suddenly slipping during use.

Our Verdict
The TOAKS Portable Titanium Tripod is a sturdy and reliable kit for those who enjoy bushcraft or traditional campfire cooking. Made entirely from titanium, it’s impressively lightweight at just 199g, making it easy to carry in your pack.
Setting up the tripod is straightforward. The three loose titanium segments connect to form a stable structure. The assembly height of 70cm and the 60cm spread of the feet offer a solid base for cooking over an open fire. The chain system, designed to hold pots up to 1.8 kg (less than 2 litres of water ), works well for smaller cookware, and the round hook at the bottom is easy to adjust for the right cooking height.
One minor quibble is that the tripod legs do not “clip in.” As there is no locking mechanism or friction, they tend to fall out when you move the stand, which can be a bit annoying. That said, since the tripod is designed for relatively static use, you won’t be moving it around too much once it’s set up, so this isn’t a major issue.
While the TOAKS tripod is a joy to use for campfire cooking, it’s worth noting that it doesn’t align with the leave-no-trace ethos that many backpackers adhere to. The tripod is better suited to bushcraft enthusiasts who appreciate the traditional campfire experience at a dedicated camp. It is not something to bring along the trail, unless on a dedicated route where fires are permitted.
