Our updated gaiter design features a new easy-to-use and more universal hook and loop attachment system to connect the gaiter to the heel of the shoe, while the front hook fastener connects to the D ring at base of the laces. The lightweight stretch nylon wraps the ankle and top of the shoe to keep debris out.
Our Verdict
The Topo Athletic Switchback Gaiters now feature a rear hook-and-loop tab, making them easier to use across a broader range of footwear. The front D-ring secures neatly to lace bases, and the fit stays stable through uneven, loose terrain. The stretch nylon fabric seals out debris without limiting movement and sheds moisture effectively in wet conditions. Breathability is decent, though warmth builds slightly in hot weather. Stitching and attachment points feel durable even after extended wear.
