Our Verdict
Trekmates' Stanage GTX Cap has a soft, comfortable feel but delivers great protection with a Gore-Tex lining providing durable waterproof protection. The headband inside is soft, comfortable and really helps with wicking sweat away when you heat up.
Although it is waterproof and windproof it isn't as breathable as you'd expect from a normal cap so you have to be willing to sacrifice that for the protection. A packable design with a triple fold peak means it can easily be stored in your pack or a pocket until it's needed.
