Our Verdict
This collaboration between Sawyer and Cnoc brings together two proven designs: the Sawyer Squeeze, a dependable 0.1-micron hollow-fibre filter, and Cnoc’s robust Premium 2L TPU bladder. It’s a smart match, pairing long-term filtration reliability with a far tougher and easier-to-fill reservoir, eliminating the old Sawyer bags that were a pain and often broke. The wide-mouth Cnoc bladder fills quickly from shallow sources and feels resilient in hand, avoiding the seam fatigue that plagued thinner bags.
Flow rate remains strong, and the Squeeze maintains efficiency when properly backflushed. Sadly, to backflush the filter, you need to bring the supplied syringe. If you’re away for a few days and filtering regularly, you’ll need to carry this with you. It obviously doesn’t weigh much, but it’s still one more thing to pack.
The system’s versatility is another strength, as it works with standard bottles, gravity setups, or as a direct squeeze filter. Together, Sawyer and Cnoc’s collaboration forms one of the most capable, field-ready water treatment systems available.
