Our Verdict
The DexShell Running Lite 2.0 is one of the few socks that stay waterproof over a full day, even when things get muddy. The triple-layer construction includes a breathable membrane and a Coolmax inner, which feels soft and manages moisture well. I found the fit close and secure, with good compression around the ankle and midfoot—no slipping or bunching, even during longer efforts.
Breathability is reasonable for a waterproof sock, though I did notice a build-up of heat in warmer conditions, especially on steeper climbs. They’re at their best in cool, wet weather, where that extra barrier makes all the difference. Sizing feels a little snug, so I’d suggest going up if you’re between sizes.
