Sea to Summit Reactor Extreme is a warm sleeping bag liner. It insulates well, packs small, and is breathable. The warmth-to-weight ratio is excellent.

If your adventures take you to colder climates, the Reactor Extreme will add plenty of warmth to a sleeping bag. Plus in warmer weather, it can be used as a ‘stand alone’ sleeping bag. With a mummy shape and Thermolite® Pro fabric, the Reactor Extreme Liner featuring a drawcord uses new infrared technology, which reflects the body's infrared heat back to you, paired with comfortable stretch fabric to add warmth, versatility, and increased insulation. The Reactor Extreme feature offers additional heat retention best suited to cold conditions.
Our Verdict
The Sea to Summit Reactor Extreme is an incredibly warm, versatile sleeping bag liner. It is made from Thermolite Pro fabric with infrared heat-reflecting technology and provides excellent insulation for cold-weather adventures. The mummy shape and drawcord foot box allow you to seal in warmth or vent heat if too warm.
The stretch knit fabric is breathable, and the HeiQ odour control treatment helps it stay fresh.
While not ultralightweight at around 350g, the warmth-to-weight ratio is superb. The compressible Reactor Extreme packs down small, making it easy to bring along on backpacking trips when you need that extra insulating layer.
